Ivar's is looking for student art submissions for this year's Fourth of Jul-Ivar's Poster. The 4th of Jul-Ivar's fireworks show started 44 years ago when Ivar Haglund came in at the last minute and saved Seattle's annual fireworks show from cancellation.

4th of Jul-Ivar's has gone on to become the longest-running, privately held fireworks show on the West Coast. In the spirit of this historic Seattle community event, Ivar’s Restaurants are holding a 4th of Jul-Ivar's Art Contest for Washington students ages 12 to 18.

Submissions should reflect the spirit of the event with themes such as: Seattle, waterfront, Elliott Bay, fireworks, Ivar’s, Ivar Haglund and the community.
