Holiday Festivities Around Washington

There is so much to do this time of year in the Seattle area from parades to tree lighting ceremonies and Santa visits. Some highlights to consider:
  • Zoolights

    November 28 through January 4

    The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium features more than half a million lights on display. Take a stroll through the paths and discover the magnificent glow, then enjoy live entertainment, go on a carousel ride, drink hot cocoa, or get a family photo. Purchase tickets at Bartell Drugs, the zoo kiosk, or online.

  • Community Hanukkah Celebration

    December 2, 2008 at the Stroum Jewish Community Center, 3801 Mercer Way

    Celebrate the Festival of Lights during one of the largest community Hanukkah Celebrations in Seattle. Anyone who wants to come is invited. Events include: arts and crafts, festive food and music. Hours are Sunday, Noon - 3 p.m.

  • Holiday Breakfast and Santa Photos at Woodland Park Zoo

    December 6 and 13

    The Woodland Park Zoo's Rain Forest Food Pavilion will offer a buffet breakfast and a mini-performance of The Nutcracker.

  • Christmas Cruise

    December 12-13

    This has been a holiday tradition in the Seattle area since 1941. Experience the dazzling site of floating Christmas lights. Decorated boats will sail around Lake Union and the Puget Sound.
