With flights unable to take off from Sea-Tac Airport this past week leaving travelers stranded. And with the city of Seattle refusing to salt our snow packed streets "by design" (because of concerns about the effects it would have on the environment even though the Puget Sound is comprised of salt water). And the latest news is the snow is not over yet with fears of possible flooding too (maybe the city should have salted the roads afterall). What do you think?

Local Seattleites and travelers alike are needing refuge.

The Pan Pacific Hotel off Denny Way in downtown Seattle is extending help. Between now and December 30, 2008 they are offering a special snow rate titled "Come in out of the Cold," for $109 per night. The hotel has 160 luxury rooms and they are located 14.6 miles from the airport at: 2125 Terry Avenue , Seattle, WA 98121; 206-264-8111. Only four blocks from downtown Seattle retail shopping.
