Valentine's Day falls on a Saturday this year, which means you could plan a weekend excursion with a loved one. Many Seattle area hotels, restaurants and spas are offering Valentine's Day specials (details are below). And if you want more ideas check out these Six Seattle Valentine's Day Ideas.

Pre-Valentine’s Day Specials
Morton’s is offering a Chocolati Truffle and Port Tasting on February 11 with the help of local chocolatier: Chocolati Handmade Chocolates. Enjoy a truffle with a vintage port from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; $25 per person. Address: 1511 Sixth Avenue, Seattle, WA; 206-223-0550.

Palisade is opening for lunch from February 9 through February 13 and featuring a Lovers Lunch. Choose from a fresh sheet, regular menu or try the four-course fixe lunch ($48 for two). Address: 2601 W. Marina Place, Seattle, WA; 206-285-1000.

Metropolitan Market sells fair trade flowers with long stemmed roses from Ecuador and Africa and Fiori Chocolatiers are sold inside. Find one in your area.

Hotel & Spa Valentine's Day Specials
Pan Pacific Hotel has two romantic overnight packages they are offering this Valentine’s Day. One is titled: Love is in the Air (it includes accommodations in a Premiere Guestroom with rose pedals, champagne, Theo Chocolates, a couples massage at Vida Spa, overnight valet parking and breakfast in bed for two, $399. And the other is titled: Take Your Love to New Heights (it includes a Kenmore Air plane ride from South Lake Union for a scenic tour of Seattle. Upon return to the hotel you are treated to the Denny Suite with panoramic views of the city, rose petals, overnight valet parking and breakfast in bed for two. The crowning jewel is a signature platinum Love (r) bracelet for her from Cartier. Package rate begins at $5,599.

Vida Spa is offering $100 off an ayurvedic couple’s massage package through February. It includes ginkgo biloba-infused chocolates and Spa Technologies' Sensuality Bath Oil. Couples will slip into plush robes and slippers and will first relax in Vida’s infrared sauna. Next, sip tea fireside and enjoy Dr. Dave’s Mega-O chocolates. Lastly, guests will experience side-by-side massages with Spa Technologies. Address: 2200 Westlake at South Lake Union by Whole Foods.

bin vivant and The Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club & Spa wants to treat you and your special someone to an overnight in a luxurious Woodmark guest room complete with short-stemmed roses. Enjoy chocolate dipped strawberries and champagne. Then try the Love Your Heart Breakfast in bed the next morning. Spa services are offered as well at 20 percent off with the nightly package. “The Perfect Valentine” special is $199 nightly and includes overnight parking and taxes. The Spa at Willows Lodge is offering special pampered treats for Valentine’s Day. Treat yourself or someone special to a Decleor’s Nourishing/Hydrating Aromatherapy Facial ($115 for 90 minutes) or a Pedicure Special ($55). Seabrook is a coastal town with cottage rentals and a quaint cafe with Northwest food and wine. The Front Street Cafe Seabrook (Address: 5 West Myrtle Lane, Pacific Beach, WA; 360-276-4884) is taking reservations for its February 14 Sweetheart’s Menu featuring a choice of Rack of Lamb with port wine demi-glace; saffron-kissed seafood Pot of Fire; and succulent Prime Rib. Alderbrook Resort on Hood Canal is offering two Valentine's Day packages. The "Roses are Red, Let’s Stay in Bed" package features overnight accommodations, a bottle of wine, $70 dining credit at Alderbrook (reservations required) and a dozen roses starting at $299. And the "Unwind My Valentine" package features everything in the Roses are Red package as well as a $100 spa credit by appointment at Alderbrook starting at $399. Cave B Inn at SageCliffe is located in the Columbia River Gorge and they are offering a "Cave In To Love" special for the month of February. It includes overnight accommodations, bottle of sparkling wine, chocolate covered strawberries and rose petal turndown starting at $359. Address: 344 Silica Rd NW, Quincy, WA; 888-785-2283.

Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle is offering a "Remember When" package. It includes overnight accommodations for two in a Deluxe Waterview guestroom, bottle of red wine, custom H1K bottle opener and valet parking. Package starts at $329. The Spaah at Hotel 1000 is also offering three Valentine's Day packages: a Chocolate Truffle Couple's Massage (a 60 minute massage followed by a chocolate truffle dessert for two, $280). A Gentleman's Treat Package includes a Chocolate Raspberry Sugar Scrub and a Delicious Decleor Facial, 2.5 hours, $250. Willows Lodge in Woodinville is featuring their "Do Not Disturb" romance package. It includes overnight accommodations, a $100 dining credit at the Barking Frog restaurant, in-tub dining (drawn bath complete with bubbles and floating rose petals) with fondue dessert and sparkling wine. Valentine’s Restaurant Specials
Canlis is featuring a “Golden Couples” Valentine’s for those who’ve been married 50 years or longer. Tell Canlis what your secret is to a lasting marriage and one lucky couple will enjoy a romantic Valentine’s evening in the private treetop room that overlooks Seattle’s Lake Union. Chef Franey will spoil you with heavenly cuisine. McCormick and Schmick’s Harborside offers views of Lake Union and is featuring three Valentine’s specials: Twin Maine lobster tails ($36.95), a surf and turf featuring 12 ounces of prime rib and 8 ounces of King crab legs ($38.95); and 12 ounces of prime rib with horseradish cream and au jus ($28.95). The Golf Club at Newcastle is offering Valentine’s cuisine from February 13 through February 14. Seatings are from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Choose from seafood to sirloin and delicate salads. Pomegranate Bistro is featuring a tempting menu titled: The Valentine’s Day Lovers Repast ($105 with wine; $65 without wine). The six course meal is offered on February 14 with live jazz music. tidbit bistro is offering a “San Valentino” menu with Italian and Spanish traditions. The five-course meal ($55) includes oysters on the half shell, arugula salad, heart-shaped raviolis and more. Address: 2359 10th Avenue East, Seattle, WA; 206-323-0840.

Il Fornaio is featuring their Festa Regionale menu with influences from the Italian region of Marche this Valentine’s Day. Ivar’s Valentine’s Day special includes clam nectar and at Ivar’s Acres of Clams, Ivar’s Salmon House or Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing a special Valentine’s Day Fresh Sheet is offered with Valentine’s trivia contest cards at each table. TASTE is taking reservations for a 5-course Valentine's menu with an optional Northwest wine pairing. Dinner choices include: caramelized fennel gnocchi, dosey doe of beets & scallop, classic duck confit, and a trio (of chocolate desserts). Dinner is $49 a person; $98 per couple. Note: wine pairings are extra. If you go you can take a stroll through the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) before dinner and see the last of the Edward Hopper exhibit.
