Teatro ZinZanni Offers Summer Camp for Kids

Teatro ZinZanni is offering Camp ZinZanni, a project of the ZinZanni Institute for Circus Arts (ZICA). It is dedicated to the preservation, development and enhancement of ancient and contemporary circus arts, including Juggling, Clowning, Magic, and Acrobatics with an emphasis on all aspects of performance and production.

This July and August, Camp ZinZanni will offer three different curriculum options divided for ages 8-12 and 13-16. Each session gives campers the opportunity to learn the basics of Character/Scene Development and Clowning through hands-on instruction and workshops with Teatro ZinZanni cast members.

Classes
Objects in Motion – Juggling, Yo-Yo, Rings, Hoops, Ribbons, Spinning Plates, Diabolo, Cigar Boxes, Spinning Clubs, Hats, and magic hand tricks.
July 6 – July 11 (Ages 8 – 12)
July 27 – August 1 (Ages 13 - 16)

Let’s Get Physical – Physical expression through Slapstick, Dance, Movement, Mime and Clowning.
July 13 – July 18 (Ages 8 – 12)
July 20 – July 25 (Ages 13 - 16)

Acrobalance – Floor Acrobatics, Tumbling and Balance on Trampoline, Rola Bola, Ladder, Stilts, Unicycle, Rolling Globes and Aerial Arts.
August 3 – August 8 Ages 8 – 12
August 10 – August 15 Ages 13 - 16
