Kim Rickett's visiting chef series brings the culinary and wine world to Seattle to celebrate the release of new books. This is your chance to get to know visiting authors in a fun and scrumptious atmosphere. The events include appetizers and drinks, books for purchase and great author discussions. Where: Tom Douglas' Palace Ballroom at 2030 Fifth Avenue; Cost: $25 per person.

April 28: What We Talk About When We Talk About Food; six Seattle food writers are on hand for an interactive discussion about food at 6:00 p.m.
April 22: Author of Real Food for Mother and Baby will discuss her book at 6:30 p.m.
