From November 23 until January 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. each night, the very first ever WildLights will fill Woodland Park Zoo with thousands of tiny, twinkly lights. WildLights joins Tacoma's Zoolights at Point Defiance Zoo and Bellevue Botanical Garden's Garden d'Lights as one of the biggest light displays around.
All throughout the zoo grounds, there will be 375,000 LED-light displays in the shapes of wild animals, places, and animated displays. The zoo animals will be sleeping and their enclosures will be dark, but the Zoomazium play space and the Day Exhibit (reptiles and amphibians) will also be open.
Along with checking out the lights, you can meet some reindeer or ride the Historic Carousel. Hot chocolate and other snacks and beverages are available to help you warm up!
Tickets to WildLights are $8.50 for adults; $6.50 for kids 3-12; and toddlers 2 and younger are free. After December 14, adult admission increases to $9.50.
