Ski areas near Seattle are opened starting Tuesday, November 20, 2012! Get out your ski boots and get ready! But do be aware--the local ski resorts are still mostly only open for more experienced skiers as not all trails and areas are open quite yet.
Stevens Pass opened November 20. The ski area is currently open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Operations are still limited and Stevens Pass warns of early season conditions. Lift tickets range from $15 (seniors) to $65. Base: 25 inches as of November 25.
Mt. Baker ski area opened on Wednesday, November 21, at 9 a.m. Early season conditions still exist, but at least today all eight lifts and three lodges were open! Lift ticket prices range between $32 and $54, depending on your age and what type of ticket you purchase. Base: 54 inches at Heather Meadows, 67 inches at Pan Dome.
Crystal Mountain opened Wednesday, November 21. Early season conditions still do exist so--as with all the local ski resorts right now--ski or board with caution if you go. Lift tickets are currently at a discount due to the early season conditions. Base: 20 inches.
