Things to do the Week of 12/30/2012

Somehow, the New Year will already be here this week. Madness! Fortunately for all, the night of New Year's Eve, Seattle and Tacoma are filled with parties, gatherings and family-friendly activities galore. If you want to do something more than watch SyFy's Twilight Zone marathon (hey...I've been there), there are plenty of things to do to choose from!

December 31:

• New Year's Events and Parties 2013

January 1:

• The Wizard of Oz at Seattle Children's Theatre - until January 6
• Commitment Day at 8 a.m. (registration at 6 a.m.) at Seattle Memorial Stadium

January 4-6:

• Monster Jam at the Tacoma Dome
