"Amaluna," a brand new Cirque du Soleil touring show, will be at Marymoor Park in Redmond from January 31 until March 17! If you haven't been to a Cirque show before, you're missing out! These all-human circuses feature amazing feats of strength, acrobatics and often ethereally beautiful music by live musicians.
"Amaluna" explores a world of gymnastically inclined goddesses, ruled by Queen Prospera. The plot revolves around Prospera's daughter as she comes into her own as an adult, and falls in love.
"Amaluna" showcases many acts that Cirque du Soleil is known for--uneven bars, teeterboard (think seesaw that propels people high into the air), tight rope, Chinese pole, juggling, and aerial acts. Each Cirque show has something to offer fans and newcomers alike. "Amaluna" brings a mystical atmosphere--weaving light and cool colors into backdrops and using props, such as a large translucent water bowl, to create a mood, but also offer a new twist on traditional moves.
The show will be at a bright yellow and blue big top in Marymoor Park, 6046 West Lake Sammamish Parkway NE, Redmond, WA 98052. Regular tickets start at $43.50 ($33 for children) and range to $133.50. The VIP experience is $260 for adults and $188.50 for kids.
