Countdown to Valentine's Day Idea #1: Take a Cruise

By February 7, 2013

Seattle Valentine's Day CruisesIn honor of the rapidly approaching Valentine's Day, I will post a cool Valentine's Day idea each day until said romantic holiday. Today's idea: take a dinner cruise.

Fortunately, Seattle is all about boats and there is no shortage of local cruise operators. Whether you want to tool around Elliott Bay, Lake Washington, Lake Union, the Ballard locks, Kirkland Lake or more, you can do just that.

Argosy Cruises has both lunch and dinner Valentine's Day harbor cruises to choose from. For $69/person, the lunch cruise comes with complimentary champagne (woo!) as well as a tasty lunch buffet. The dinner option is a little fancier at $115/person, but includes a sit-down five-course meal.

Waterways Cruises has a 2.5-hour dinner cruise around Lake Washington and Lake Union, if you like a bit more city skyline with your four-course meal. Where Argosy has a live band and vocalist, Waterways has calming live harp music. Tickets are $99/person with discounts at $88 for military.
