The Christmas Ship Festival is one of my favorite local holiday events. Enjoy carols from various local choir groups; have a warm cup of clam chowder or hot chocolate; or hang out on deck in the cool, December air and wave to the other boats. This festival combines Seattle's unique maritime culture with everything Christmas. What could be better?
Each night while the festival is on, the Christmas Ship, the Parade Boat and any private boats that decide to travel along with the flotilla leave from a port and travel to a second location. At each stop, the on-board choir performs. Those on board the Christmas Ship can watch the choir inside the ship, while everyone else (as well as groups that gather on shore to wait for the boats) can listen via a speaker system.
Argosy Cruises' website has the full 2013 Christmas Ship Festival with ports of departure, arrival, and which choirs are performing each night.
