For the most part, Seattle residents care about what they eat. We live in a part of the country that values good, fresh and often local food. And now there's a new option on the block! Zaycon Foods is offering a new delivery service in Seattle - fresh, minimally processed milk.
Zaycon Foods is based in Spokane and operates as a CSA, bringing produce, meat and milk directly from the farm to the consumer via local delivery. The company delivers straight from refrigerated trucks and notifies customers of delivery locations via email and social media. Milk delivery to Seattle as well as other Puget Sound cities will be every two weeks at select locations.
What's different about milk from Zaycon vs. your average grocery store milk? Zaycon uses low-temperature pasteurization to preserve more nutrients naturally present in milk. The milk is from only Holstein and Jersey cows that are fed non-GMO feed grown right on the same farm where the cows are raised. The milk is whole milk and not homogenized as well.
