Think You Have What It Takes to Be the Seattle / Tacoma Guide?
Friday June 20, 2008
We're looking for passionate and enthusiastic individual to be the Guide to the Seattle / Tacoma site on About.com!
What sort of information do we want the new Guide to provide?
Well, we're looking for someone who can help locals (particularly locals who just moved to the area) learn about the ins and outs of Seattle / Tacoma that a tourist wouldn't necessarily need to know: how to get civic services, best schools, where to live, along with reviews of restaurants and nightlife.
What sort of person are we looking for to be the new Guide to Seattle / Tacoma?
Our ideal candidate will live in or around Seattle, have published writing experience covering the area (either in a blog, magazine, or newspaper), and know how to keep their ear to the ground to find out what's happening in their area.
If this sounds like you, and you've got excellent writing skills and the desire to reach and teach a broad audience through your writing, why not go over to our application site to learn more about our hiring program and submit an application?

The Seattle Maritime Festival kicks off this week, including the Grand Opening for Phase 1 of Lake Union Park on Wednesday. The public is invited to a community celebration with family activities, food, fun, and more. From 11am to 1pm. For more information, call (206) 332-9900.
