There is something to do every day of the week in the Seattle area, here are some picks for the month of October:

October 1
The Night Watcher
Playwright and actress Charlayne Woodard and director Dan Sullivan return to Seattle Rep with Woodard’s new, inspiring one-woman show, (206) 443-2222.

October 2
"Geoff McFetridge: in the Mind," installation in the pavilion by the Los Angeles-based artist. The pavilion will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Olympic Sculpture Park, 2901 Western Ave, (206) 654-3123.

October 3
Jamie Lidell performs experimental techno/neo-soul music. $18 advance at Ticketmaster, $20 day of show at the doors. 8 p.m.–2 a.m. Showbox, 1426 1st Ave.

October 4
Seattle Weekly’s REVERBfest Ballard
Local music festival in Ballard with 60+ bands/DJs/acts will take over Ballard on Leary, Ballard Ave. and more! All ages venue $5, $7 at event; 21+ (all venues) $8 advance, $10 at event. 3 p.m.-1 a.m.

October 5
CroatiaFest
An all-day festival of Croatian art, music, customs—and food, of course—that's part of Seattle Center’s Festál series. Rare delicacies include sarma (meat-stuffed cabbage rolls) and kranjska kobasica s ajvarom (spicy Croatian sausage with red-pepper relish), while better-known treats include lamb kabobs, baklava, and Croatian beer. With a concert by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and chorale performances, as well as folk dancing lessons. All events are free, with food for sale. 12 p.m. – 9 p.m.

October 6
Benaroya Hall Events
Splendors of the Baroque -Watjen Concert Organ Recital-Demonstration S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium
Public recital-demonstrations of the 4,490-pipe Watjen Concert Organ on Mondays throughout the season in Benaroya Hall. Each recital-demonstration has a unique theme. Watjen Concert Organ recital-demonstrations take place at 12:30 p.m. and are part of the Benaroya Hall public tours which begin at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on recital/demonstration days.

October 7
Liz Phair
Monqui and Verizon Wireless present singer Liz Phair at the Showbox. She will perform songs from Exile in Guyville. $25.00 ADV / $27.00 DOS and at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m. - 21+. Showbox, 1426 1st Avenue.

October 8
Graeme Base
The creator of many beautiful children's books reads from his new mystery for young readers, Enigma. Third Place Books, 9:30 a.m., Lake Forest Park, 17171 Bothell Way NE.

October 9
Seattle Presents Eduardo Mendonca - Contemporary Brazilian & Bossa Nova
The Brazilian singer, guitarist and composer plays original songs, beloved bossa nova and the popular music of Brazil with pianist Josh Wilson. Free. Noon - 1 p.m. Seattle City Hall Lobby, 600 Fourth Ave. (206) 684-7171.

October 10
Anna's Bay Music Festival: German Art Song
Baritone Matthew Melendez Blegen and soprano Tessia Altiveros offer an evening of musical love letters and an exploration of German Romanticism. $25-$30. 8 p.m.-10 p.m. Town Hall Seattle, 1119 Eighth Avenue, Seattle, (206) 652-4255.

October 11
Ninth Annual Cruise for a Cure, 5:30 p.m.; Issaquah Community Center. This South Pacific cruise-themed event will include dinner, entertainment and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $100 per person. Call (425) 255-2415.

October 12
Magnuson Park Promontory Point Habitat Work Party - Green Seattle Partnership
Come help care for the newly planted habitat! Weeding, mulching, and tending newly planted native plants. Start Time: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Education Pavilion; enter at NE 65th St, drive east to boat launch parking lot. Contact Bonnie Miller at (206) 524-8713.

October 13
Center Friends Dance/Bonnie Birch Band
Ballroom and pattern dancing to a live band. All ages welcome! Start Time: 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. There is a $4 suggested donation. Center House/Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St. Contact Margaret Petersen at (206) 684-7200.

October 14
Seattle Job Fair at Safeco Field
Dozens of leading Puget Sound employers are looking to hire and many will be conducting onsite interviews. Visit Employment-Expo for a complete list of companies that will attend. Admission is free. October 15
"Living with Wildlife" Workshop
