Bastyr University’s Haunted Trails
Haunted Trials offer scary surprises for ages 8 and older. Ticket sales at 6:45 p.m. - $10 ($8 with a canned food donation). Race Judicata 5K Run & Walk
Join students, alumni and members of the Seattle legal community for the Race Judicata 5K. Proceeds from the race will support students who are pursuing public interest legal careers. Science: Russell Shorto: Descartes' Bones
Russell Shorto is the author of the bestselling The Island at the Center of the World and a contributing writer for The New York Times Magazine. His latest book, Descartes' Bones: A Skeletal History of the Conflict Between Faith and Religion reflects the current conflict over science vs. religion, describing how it all got started with the publication of Rene Descartes', Discourse on the Method over 350 years ago. Presented as part of the Seattle Science Lectures, with University Book Store.
