The unemployment rate in the Seattle area has been on the rise, with start-ups taking a big hit. Some start-ups have had to shut their doors putting thousands out of work and other bigger companies have decreased their staffs by 20% or more. File for Unemployment

The Employment Security Department of Washington can answer your questions, tell you if you qualify for benefits, and help you with your job search needs. This is a free service.
