Guthrie loaned $1 million to his own campaign to qualify for the debate. Dennis Bounds of KING-TV will moderate. A panel of four journalists from KING, The Seattle Times, KREM, and the Northwest News Network will ask questions.

Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels announced the “Dirty Dozen” mean streets of Seattle. Nickels’ asked local citizens to nominate the worst transportation headaches in the city. More than 700 people responded, and the mayor worked with the Seattle Department of Transportation to select the projects. Residents reported more than 100 potholes, and all of them have already been repaired.

If you live in the 8th district, you have been paying for the 1.5 million pieces of mail sent to residents in east and south King County as well as Pierce County. The mail is a privilege of incumbents called "frank mail" meant to update constituents on their district.

H&R Block is hosting National Tax Advice Day at the State Capital Building in Olympia. Olympia Mayor Mark Foutch and Northwest Harvest Food Bank will be at the rally, along with over 200 local H&R Block tax professionals offering tax advice. Northwest Food Bank is holding a week long food drive, offering free tax advice to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item into an office.
