Washington State Ferries

Seattle is well-known for its ferry boats and many people commute on them daily from the outer islands to the mainland. Here you can see the current schedules, buy tickets, research fares, sign up for email alerts, and view ferry cameras. 1-800-843-3779; 1-888-808-7977.

King County Metro

Community Transit

Greyhound

Greyhound service is available in downtown Seattle. Address 811 Stewart St., Seattle, WA 98101; 206-628-5526; 1-800-231-2222.

Trailways

Provides buses based out of Spokane, WA and Billings, MT to several northwest locations. 1-800-366-3830.

Sound Transit

Find bus and commuter rail schedules for the Puget Sound region and sign up for rider alerts for your weekly commute. 206-398-5000; 1-800-201-4900.

South Lake Union Trolley

The S.L.U.T. offers 1.3 mile streetcar trolley service to and from the lake to Westlake Center. Their slogan is "Ride the S.L.U.T."

Seattle Monorail

The Seattle Monorail is housed in Westlake Center in downtown Seattle. The monorail's one mile track offers service to and from Westlake Center and Seattle Center (Space Needle, EMP, Key Arena, Pacific Science Center, Children's Museum, and more). Check to make sure monorail is running before going.

Sound Transit's Link Light Rail

Track testing is currently in place with plans for Sound Transit's Link Light Rail service to open sometime in 2009.

Amtrak Cascades

Puget Sound Dispatch Cabs

Yellow and red cabs serve King County and Seattle with door-to-door service. Yellow cab: 206-622-6500; Red cab: 206-789-4949. Open 24 hours, 365 days a year.

Hertz Rental Cars

Hertz offers rental cars for short or long term use with drop-off and pick-up at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) in downtown Seattle. 206-903-6260.
