Seattle Seahawks Game Guide

From Billy Watson, for About.com

Getting Seattle Seahawks Tickets: The Seahawks capped season ticket sales at 61,000. The remainder of tickets sold out in less than an hour in late July. Tickets for this season are available from eBay, RazorGator, or StubHub. eBay tends to have the lowest prices, but make sure you find someone with 100% positive feedback, especially on previous ticket sales. Expect to pay at least $100 per seat. The best value seats are often in the 300 level, which offers some of the best views. 100-level seats sell at inflated prices.
Qwest Field Seattle Seahawks Seat Information: When purchasing Seahawks Tickets make sure you research the seats you are buying. In every section, the lower seat numbers are to your right as you face the field. For example, Seat 1 in Section 314 ($42 face value) is just across the aisle from Seat 36 in Section 313 ($67 face value). Try to get tickets near the price level borders in the less expensive section to get the most bang for your buck. Tickets in Section 314 Row E are $42, while seats just in front in Row D, are $87.
Seattle Seahawks Game Day Parking: Parking is very limited. The lots surrounding Qwest Field open three hours prior to kickoff. These are the North Lot, Qwest Field Event Center Garage and Union Station Garage. The North Lot and Exhibition Center Garage are sold out for 2006 on a season basis. Most spots in the Safeco Field Garage and Safeco’s Homeplate Lot have been sold on a season basis. Metered parking is available under the Alaskan Way viaduct in Pioneer Square. Free parking on side streets south of Safeco is available.
Seahawks Tailgating and Pre-Game Activities: Hardcore tailgating in the south parking lot ended when the Kingdome was imploded. However, the Qwest Field Event Center which now occupies that location is home to lots of pre-game activities and alcohol. Beer can be purchased for a few dollars less in a beer garden across the street in a fenced off area at the gates of Safeco Field. The North Plaza at Qwest is home to rowdy fans before the game due to its close proximity to the Hawks Nest (inexpensive, field-level endzone bleacher seats).
Seattle Seahawks Season Update: The Seattle Seahawks finished the regular season at 9-7 (5-3 at home), winning the NFC West for the third straight season. On January 6, the Seahawks beat the Dallas Cowboys 21-20 at Qwest Field to advance to the divisional round of the NFC playoffs against the Chicago Bears. The Seahawks lost that game to end the 2006 season. The Seahawks open the 2007 season against Tampa Bay at home.
